Karthika’s mother Radha used to say time and again that Karthika would not pair up with small artistes.  It turned against Karthika and she did not even get a dummy hero to pair up with.  Further, her movie ‘Magara Manju’ seems to have failed to meet expectations among fans.

Movies by Lenin Rajendran are usually inclined more towards getting accolades.  The movie ‘Magara Manju’ centers love life of artist Ravi Varma.  The movie centers love story between Ravi Varma and model he used for painting.  Santhosh Sivan does Ravi Varma and Karthika does heroine.  When such a pair is imagined, it would only bring to fore a father – daughter relationship.

More special is the duet pose by the unfitting pair.  Both mother and daughter did not take it into account since movie is screened only in place where award is presented.  In a development, as the advertisement stills were released in Andhra, both mother Radha and daughter Karthika almost froze in fear.
