Indian movies stick to Hollywood standards, says Chiranjeevi in Cannes

The Cannes Film Festival is being held in France.  Central Minister – actor Chiranjeevi participated in the Film Festival.  Chiranjeevi was accompanied by his wife Surekha, son – actor Ram Charan Teja, and daughter-in-law Upasana.

Chiranjeevi made an address during the Cannes Film Festival: -

‘Indian cinema has progressed. Movies are being made using the modern techniques.  Indian movies are being made sticking to Hollywood standards.  Those who take Indian movies win international acclaim.  Movie shootings are held in India throughout the year.’

‘The climatic conditions in India are conducive for movie shooting.  Some countries witness snowfall and some countries witness downpour.  Shooting schedules cannot be held continuously there.  But, it is not so in India.  One could conduct shooting any time.  There are locations conducive for shooting.

The Oscar winning movie ‘Life of Pi’ was taken in India.  So, foreigners should volunteer to shoot movies in India.  Participation by many Indian movies in Cannes Film Festival adds up to the growth.’

The Centenary celebration of Indian cinema was held in Cannes Film Festival.  Aishwarya Rai, who went to the Cannes Film Festival, was given red carpet welcome.  Vidya Balan participated as jury.  She appeared in different saris and attracted the crowd.  Also, Mallika Sherawat participated in the event.
