Janani Iyer who starred in ‘Avan Ivan’, paired up with Srikanth for ‘Paagan’.  During audio release for Paagan, director Karu Pazhaniappan objected to the caste name being used as surname.  But then, Janani did not give any answer to that.

Later Janani Iyer commented ‘Being a growing actress, I do not desire answering such questions.’ Also she said that it would get her into fresh trouble.  But when asked recently, Janani said that she has right to name herself as desired.  Also, she said that she does not worry about other people’s opinion.
