Kamal Haasan concedes removing controversial scenes in ‘Vishwaroopam’

Muslim outfits agitated against release of movie ‘Vishwaroopam’ saying that the movie shows Muslims in poor light and that it paves way for communal riots.  Following protest my Muslims, government issued order against release of the movie. 

The ban upon movie ‘Vishwaroopam’ was lifted the last night.  But still, Muslim outfits indulged in chaos in front of theatres such that the movie is not screened.  Upon hearing the higher appeal by Tamil Nadu government, the magistrates issued order banning screening of the movie ‘Vishwaroopam’. 

In a development, lyricist Vairamuthu, Aarun MP and leaders of some Muslim outfits met Kamal Haasan at his residence and conducted discussion.  Then, they stressed that controversial scenes be removed.  Kamal Haasan accepted the demand. 

After discussion, Kamal Haasan met reporters and spoke:-
‘I desire releasing the movie in amicable manner.  So, I have agreed to remove scene with regard to Quran and few other scenes.   The government should initiate action to protect and law and order.’
