The High Court issued order lifting ban upon movie ‘Vishwaroopam’.  Following the development, Kamal Haasan met reporters at his residence today.  Then, Kamal Haasan spoke:-

‘The ban upon the movie ‘Vishwaroopam’ is continuing.  I am really not able to understand why this is happening.  Afghanistan and America are arena for the movie.  As situation is such, how could the movie make a mockery of Muslims?

‘My fans who went to theatre today have been turned out by the police.  I have made the movie with investment of huge amount.  With belief that I could accomplish through the movie, and through my experience in trade, I have taken the movie. I have written of properties for this.’

‘I do not know whether this residence in which I am meeting you would be there tomorrow.  The reason is that I have written off the property to one who gave me loan.  I would not worry if I lose that.  Money is not big for me.  I am an individual.  Magistrate has conveyed that more than individual’s welfare, unity in nation is important. Also, the nation’s unity is important for me.’
