Kamal Haasan conveyed that late actress SN Lakshmi was a great and talented person.  She is a treasure, he added. It can be said that veteran actress SN Lakshmi is the court actress for Kamal Haasan.  She acted in Kamal Haasan’s movies as ‘Thevar Magan’ and ‘Virumaandi’.  Kamal used to offer good roles in his movies to SN Lakshmi.  Kamal had special consideration to SN Lakshmi since she too like Kamal is K. Balachander’s mold. 

Kamal condoled SN Lakhsmi’s death.  Kamal who is in Mumbai and is quite busy with ‘Viswaroopam’ schedule commented

‘SN Lakshmi is a very close acquaintance of mine.  I have several times appreciated on seeing her talent.  She is a choice of K. Balachander.  She was a hugely talented person’

‘I am amazed that she is the one who played that many roles as in ‘Michael Madhana Kama Rajan’, ‘Thevar Magan’ and ‘Virumaandi’.

‘I used to mock her about playing mother role when she was a very young woman.  She used to laugh it out’

‘After 1960’s great actors as SN Lakshmi, Kakka Radhakrishnan and Nagesh were not to be seen.  I thought that rather than ditching these talented people they should be considered.  That is why I celebrated her until she was alive.  I will continue celebrating her’
