Letter threat to Chennai theatre which screens ‘Thalaivaa’

Tamil movie ‘Thalaivaa’ pairing up Vijay and Amala Paul has crossed many hassles. The movie hit screens yesterday in Tamil Nadu, and is running successfully in theatres.  In a development, threat has been forwarded through letter as the movie hit screens. Police are investigating into the threat. 


‘The last August 8th, unidentified people forwarded threat saying bomb would be planted in theatres which are to screen movie ‘Thalaivaa’.  Following the threat, theatre owners refused to screen the movie.  In a development, following efforts by the movie crew, the movie hit screens across Tamil Nadu on Tuesday.’ 

A theatre which was screening movie ‘Thalaivaa’ in Kilpauk, Chennai, received a letter yesterday which threatened saying that there would be very strong repercussions if the movie is screened.

The theatre manager Jayakumar filed complaint with Kilpauk police.  Following the complaint, police have registered a case and are investigating.
