Maharashtra women state commission summons Salman Khan over his raped woman remark

Salman Khan, in a recent interview, said that he “felt like a raped woman” during Sultan’s shooting, drawing criticism from fans and women activists alike.

Now a day after the National Commission for Women (NCW) demanded a public apology from him over the remark, the Maharashtra State Commission for Women (MSCW) has issued summons to the star demanding explanation for his statement.

“We have learned about his statement from news reports. The remarks are certainly demeaning. We want the actor to explain himself with regard to his comments in front of the commission and hence have summoned him,” said Vijaya Rahatkar, Chairperson of MSCW.
