Malayalam Artistes Association stands by Rima Kallingal

Following a warning by Association of Malayalam movie artistes, Kerala Film Chamber has lifted the ban imposed upon actress Rima Kallingal. 

Kerala Film Chamber imposed ban upon Rima Kallingal from doing movies for participating in Reality Show.  Following the ban, Rima Kallingal was not able to participate in shooting for Malayalam movie ‘Zachariyayude Garbhinikal’.  Then, Rima Kallingal gave her explanation to the Film Chamber.  Following explanation by Rima Kallingal, the ban upon her from doing movies has been lifted. 

Malayalam movie producer – actress Sandra spoke: -

The movie ‘Zachariyayude Garbhinikal’ centres five pregnant women.  The shooting for the movie commenced four days back.  In a development, the Film Chamber imposed ban upon Rima from doing Malayalam movies following her participation in Reality Show. 

‘Rima gave her explanation to the Film Chamber.  Following the ban, the shooting for the movie was delayed.  We commenced the shooting once they gave clearance.

Malayalam Artistes Association stood by Rima with regard to the issue.  A warning was issued that artistes would reject Film Chamber’s Award Presentation event if the ban upon Rima is not removed.’


Only after the issuance of warning, the issue came to an end, say reports.
