We get to know an interesting update about Mani Ratnam’s next film. The director has broken down the silence of more than a year after his big time disasters Raavanan.

He is all set to start his next project and in this process he has roped in his favourite cinematographer Rajiv Menon for this yet to be titled project. The film is set on the theme of a coastal village in southern Tamil Nadu is said to be a love story set against fishermen turmoil. Mani is going to cast debutants in the lead roles.

Buzz is that the film is set against the milieu of Indian fishermen fishing in Sri Lankan waters and getting trapped by their navy and following hue and cry in Tamil Nadu. The shooting is going to start from September end on the high seas off the coast between Kanyakumari and Kovalam in Kerala.
