Norway Tamil Film Festival Awards announced

Tamil movie ‘Vazhakku En 18/9’ has been selected the best movie in Norway Tamil Film Festival.  Organizers of the Film Festival select the best Tamil movies and present awards to best artistes, directors and technicians into the movie. 

The Film Festival for the year was held between 24th and 29th of April.  Awards were presented in 31 categories.  Movie ‘Vazhakku En 18/9’ directed by Balaji Sakthivel was selected the best movie. 

Prabu Solomon won the best director award for ‘Kumki’, Vijay Sethupathi won the best actor award for ‘Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kanom’, Lakshmi Menon bagged best actress award for role in ‘Kumki’, Imman bagged best music composer award for ‘Kumki’, Na Muthukumar won the best lyricist award, Magizhini Manimaaran won the best singer award for ‘Kumki’, Sukumar won the best cinematographer for Kumki.  ‘Sattai’ was selected the best social awareness movie, and Tamil movie ‘Dhoni’ also won appreciations.  Manivannan received lifetime achiever award. 

Award for debutant artistes was given to Vijay Antony for Naan, Udhayanidhi Stalin for ‘Oru Kal Oru Kannaadi’, Swathi for ‘Raattinam’. Actor Vivek bagged an award, and Lingusamy’s Thirupathi Brothers bagged the Best Producer Award.
