Now Ad Bureau seeks Rajini\'s intervention

The Ad Bureau Advertising Private Limited today sought the intervention of Rajnikanth in settling its due of Rs 6.84 crore for securing the Tamil Nadu rights for release of his animation film Kochadaiyaan.

Ad Bureau CMD M Abirchand Nahar told reporters here that the company has secured the post production rights of the film by entering into an agreement with the Superstar's wife Latha Rajnikanth.

Alleging that the due amount of Rs 6.84 crore was not received despite the actor's wife standing personal guarantee for the film, he sought the intervention of the actor in settling the dues. He also released the statement of account about the Kochadaiyaan film.

Abirchand Nahar said Kochadaiyaan was a high risk project and his company was approached in April last year by its producers Media one Global Entertainment Limited. Ad bureau entered in as post producers and agreed to support the project against a guaranteed share of 12 per cent to be returned by May last year before the release of the film.

He said a further guaranteed share of five per cent was offered along with the personal guarantee of Ms Latha. The producer was supposed to return the money before the release of the film but the cheques issued by them were dishonored.

He said Ad Bureau has approached them for the payments but for the last 11 months they have not fulfilled the promises.

Though the Tamil Nadu rights of the film was given to Ad Bureau, the Media one has indulged in double selling of the rights by selling it toEros International, he said, and alleged that even the 20 per cent sales commission for this was not paid to Ad Bureau.
