Lots have gone amiss with the Vikram Starrer which was advertised as a period movie.  There is much question regarding whether the movie would be made.

The movie ‘Karikalan’, which stars Vikram, Sherin Khan and Anjali was to be a directorial venture by Kannan.  The movie was to be made under production of ‘Silver Line Film Factory.’

The shooting for the movie happened for just 40 days.  In the shooting, just the trailer and photo shoot were carried out.  For the movie, not a single scene has been shot.

Due to this Kannan was dropped out and Gandhi Krishna signed up in Kannan’s place as the director for movie ‘Karikalan’. But now, it seems the movie would not be made.

Vikram is keenly into his upcoming flicks.  Vikram, who has done ‘Thaandavam’, has now allocated dates for Shankar’s ‘I’.

The situation is such that, only if Vikram allocates call sheet, ‘Karikalan’ would be taken up. 

Moreover, it seems Vikram has placed condition that Nayanthara should do his movie.  As Nayanthara said she has not dates for the movie, the schedules for Karikalan have come to a standstill.
