Prabhudeva directed movies as ‘Pokkiri’, ‘Villu’, and ‘Engeyum Kaadhal’ in Tamil.  Now, he is a lead director in Hindi.  The movie ‘Wanted’ that he directed starring Salman Khan turned hit.  Now, he is directing ‘Rowdy Rathore’ pairing up Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha.  This movie is to be released soon.

Regarding this, Prabhudeva mentioned:

‘After turning a director, lot of chances started pouring in.  But there is no time for acting.  Recently, I acted in ‘Urumi’ directed by Santhosh Sivan.  Since I liked the character I agreed to act.’

‘I have directed lot of movies in Tamil and Telugu.  Chances are pouring in for direction of Hindi movies.  Now, I am directing ‘Rowdy Rathore’.  I do not have time to direct Tamil movies.’

‘There is no truth in report that I am to remake Telugu movie ‘Kick’, and that Salman Khan is to do the hero.  I am to do a movie starring Ajay Devgan.  Also, I am to direct a movie starring Shahid Kapoor’ said Prabhudeva.
