Rajini, Kamal rocked the show

It was an action-packed Monday for film personalities as they gathered in large numbers at polling booths since 7 am Monday and waited in queues to exercise their franchise. No sooner polling began, the likes of Rajinikanth (at Stella Mary's College) and Ajith (a Chennai School at Thiruvanmaiyur Kuppam Beach Road) were the early birds to cast their vtes.
Soon followed the likes of Kamal Haasan, Sivakarthikeyan, Vijay, Vishal and Karthi among others in their respective booths across the city.

Speaking to media persons, Rajinikanth, in a cheerful tone, said, 'I exercised my democratic right and urge all to vote without fail'. And when questioned about reports of money being paid for votes, the actor in a diplomatic tone, said, 'No comments' and left the place in a hurry.

There was media frenzy at Corporation School near Eldams Road as Kamal came to cast his vote. Interestingly, a few days ago, the actor said that he might not be in town on 16 May as he was supposed to shoot for his next movie. However, he chose to postpone his plan and turned up with Gowthami and his daughter Akshara Haasan at around 8 pm.

Talking to waiting presspersons, Kamal Haasan, said, 'If more and more people come and vote, it is the true success of democracy'. And known to expressing his opinion clear and loud, Kamal, when asked about cash for votes, said, 'More seizure of cash Election Commission would mean less corruption in election'.
