Director Sasikumar’s stand on ban of controversial films in Srilanka

The Srilankan government has banned the release of controversial Tamil films; it sends the films for review to a special committee and cuts those dialogues that are supporting the Srilankan Tamils. They cut the dialogues according to their wish and send the incomplete film to the theaters.

Deepavali released Ezham Arivu has faced such a situation; the dialogues supporting Tamilians were cut. Director Sasikumar has condemned this act of Srilankan government.

What he says is as follows, “ It has been a routine with the Srilankan government to ban the films that talks about Tamilians. Releasing our films in Srilanka is par with seeing a film in a sad house. Who are they to ban our films? We will take action. I will not send my film Porali, which also has me in the cast, to Srilanka.”
