Selvaraghavan seeks anticipatory bail for fear of imminent arrest

Director Chandrasekaran filed complaint against Dhanush’s brother, popular director Selvaraghavan.  Selvaraghavan has filed petition for anticipatory bail in High Court.

The petition for anticipatory bail by Selvaraghavan read:-

‘Last 2004, I signed up agreement with director SA Chandrasekaran for making of movie Kasimedu.  A remuneration of Rs 2 crore was negotiated.  An amount of Rs 90 lakhs was given as advance for me.  But, due to some reasons, the production schedules came to standstill.’

‘Following the negative development, SA Chandrasekaran demanded back the advance of Rs 90 lakhs.  I returned the amount in three installments.  But still, SA Chandrasekaran has filed complaint with Central Crime Branch.’

‘In the complaint he stated that he gave me Rs 2 crores and I gave back just Rs 90 lakhs.  Also, he has stated that I am refusing to return the balance.  Central Crime Branch Police, upon investigation found out that information is false. It was registered with Magistrate Court in Saidapet.’

‘But order has been issued to take up complaint by SA Chandrasekaran.  The case I filed with High Court to nullify the case by Chandrasekaran is in pending.  I fear imminent arrest.  So, anticipatory bail should be given’ said Selvaraghavan in the petition.

The petition is to come for hearing soon.
