From this month a new rule has come into vogue that along with fare collected for cine shootings, service tax would be collected.  As per the rule, 3.708 percent of service tax would be collected for shootings held in AC and First Class compartments. Regarding this, Railway Minister released statement.

The service tax is applicable to metro railway services and suburban rail services.  It is to be noted that 3.7 percent tax is being collected for passengers with season tickets, touring tickets and for passengers in special trains.
