Shooting schedule for Malayalam movie cancelled in Nellai following protest

Following the ‘Mullai Periyaar’ issue public in Nellai protested against the shooting of Malayalam movie there pairing up actor Pasupathi and Padmapriya.  Following the cancellation of the schedule the crew went back to Kerala.

The shooting for the Malayalam movie ‘Number 66 Madurai’ was held in Sundarapandiyapuram which is near Nellai.  The scenes pairing up Pasupathi and Padmapriya playing the lead roles were taken.  Tamil activists who were against the demolition of the ‘Mullai Periyaar’ dam protested against the conducting of the shooting.  They raised voice that shooting for Malayalam movie should not take place in Tamil Nadu.
Since there was very strong protest, the shooting schedule was cancelled.  The crew packed up and left the place back to Kerala.  Reports allege that their vehicle was damaged within Kerala limits.
