Sony denies purchasing satellite rights for Salman Starrer for huge amount

The upcoming flick starring Salman Khan, ‘Ek Thaa Tiger’ is widely spoken about for several reasons.

Of late, the movie created sensation through a report… The report says that the satellite rights for the movie have been sold for Rs. 75 Crore.  Sony TV Company has bought the movie’s satellite rights, says the report.

If indeed the report turns true, it should be deemed a world record.

‘Ek Thaa Tiger’ is movie produced by Yashraj Company.  Reports say that the satellite rights for the movie were negotiated by Sony only recently.

But, Sony which refuted the claim added ‘We bought the satellite rights for the movie 15 months back.  Those who released report should have given second thought as to whether we would have paid the mentioned sum then.’  This was the statement by Vice President of Sony.

The satellite rights for Hindi remake of ‘Singam’ were purchased for Rs 18 crore, Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Krish’ for Rs. 38 crore, and ‘Agneepath for Rs 41 crore.  It is to be noted that satellite rights for no movie have been purchased for Rs. 50 crore.
