Sri Lankan Government imposes interim stay upon ‘Viswaroopam’

The Sri Lankan government has imposed interim stay upon release of KamalHaasan’s ‘Viswaroopam’. As several outfits protested against the venture saying thatthe movie shows Muslims in poor light, Tamil Nadu Government has banned the releaseof ‘Viswaroopam’.


Also, there is hassle to release of ‘Viswaroopam’ in many places abroad. Now, Sri Lanka is onein the list. So as to review issues arising out of release of the movie, Sri Lankan government hasimposed interim stay upon the movie’s release.


Also, Sri Lankan censor board has conveyed that controversial scenes in ‘Viswaroopam’ havebeen removed. But still, the interim stay upon the movie’s release would be there, said SriLankan Government.
