Veteran actress Sridevi created an impression through her cine career for several years.  Now, after a long gap Sridevi is back to movies through ‘English Vinglish’.  The movie has been released in Hindi and Tamil today.  Sridevi spoke regarding experience in movies:-

‘I came into cine field when I was very young.  When I was a child, I did Lord Muruga for a movie.  After release of the movie, I did child artiste for many movies.’

‘As I was busy with cinemas, I was not able to undergo formal education.  My father was against my turning an actress. Mother agreed.  When I did Balachander’s movies, I was not able to deliver properly in romance scenes.  He taught me how to show expressions of love as I acted. But I was not able to bring in those expressions.’

‘Then, he said that if I maintain a tearful countenance, it resembles expression of love.  Balachander told me to show a tearful countenance during romance scenes.’

‘As I was busily into Hindi movies, I was not able to come here to see my ailing father.  My mother suffered ailment and I took her to hospital abroad.  There, surgery was done.  Then I met Bony Kapoor.’

‘He made necessary arrangements for my mother’s treatment.  Then, I did movie ‘Mister India’ by Bony Kapoor.  From then, he romanced me for 10 years.  As I decided to marry him, many protested.’

‘As I felt I would be secure with Bony Kapoor for life, I married him.  Till date, marriage life is happy’ said Sridevi.
