Tamil Nadu Government releases press note regarding Thane Relief Fund

Industrialist Pollachi Mahalingam donated Rs. 1 Crore for Thane relief fund.  Actor Kamal Haasan donated Rs. 15 Crore towards Chief Minister Jayalalithaa’s Thane relief fund.

Tamil Nadu government released press note regarding this.

In a move to redeem the storm-hit people in Villupuram and Cuddalore districts, many donated towards the Chief Minister’s public relief fund.

Their information is as follows:

Pollachi Mahalingam donated Rs. 1 Crore

The monthly salary of associate opposition leader Banrooti S. Ramachandran and DMDK MLAs is about Rs. 15 Lakhs which went towards the fund.

Pollachi N. Mahalingam donated Rs. 1 Crore on behalf of his company.

Industrialist Krishnamoorthy donated Rs. 1 Crore towards the fund.

Kamal Haasan donated Rs. 15 Lakhs

The salary of assembly head T. Jayakumar, deputy assembly head T. Dhanabal, and the MLAs is about Rs. 57,0, 2000 which went towards the fund. 

Housing and Urban development minister A. Vaidyalingam, Tamil Nadu housing board,  Tamil Nadu Slum Clearance Board, Chennai City Development Board,  and Tamil Nadu cooperative housing society workers donated Rs. 26,71, 638.

Minister for Forest Department KT Pachamal, Tamil Nadu Forest department, and Tamil Nadu Forest Development Association workers donated about Rs.50, 63, 482.

Donation from Food supply department minister R. Kamaraj, Public distribution cum consumers defense board, Tamil Nadu go-down association, and State Consumers grievance cell is Rs. 1,06,00,000.

Indian Bank Head TM Baashin has donated Rs. 1 Crore.

Chennai Silks Manickam donated Rs. 50 Lakhs.  Tamil Nadu Bus Owners Union Federation head K. Thangaraj donated Rs. 50 Lakhs.

Gemini Industires cum Imaging Company’s director A. RaviShankar Prasad donated Rs. 50 Lakhs.

Former MLA V. Gopalakrishnan donated about Rs. 30 Lakhs.

K. Aiyappan, head of Ambattur Industrial Estate production unit donated Rs. 25 Lakhs.

Kumbakonam and City Union Bank’s director N. Kamakoty donated about Rs. 25 Lakhs.

Tamil Nadu Theater Owner Association’s General Secretary R. Pannerselvam donated about Rs. 20, 50, 000.

K. Rangarajan  Mahalakshmi donated about Rs. 20 Lakhs.

Chennai Press club donated about Rs. 10, 000.

Amount up to Rs. 8, 50, 97,000 has gone into the Chief Minister’s Thane Relief fund. 

The amount which has gone into the Chief Minister’s public relief fund is Rs. 64,84,07,747.
