Movie ‘Ammavin Kaipaesi’ directed by Thangar Bachan awaits release. The audio launch for the movie was held in Chennai day before yesterday.
Thangar Bachan gave an interview regarding hassles he encountered as he was making the movie. Here are excerpts from the interview he gave:-
‘It has become difficult to get producers to take a movie. Four or five producers are making a movie. They produce movies to clear their debts. If it is to be a profession, there is need for profit. Cinema is also a profession. Many incur losses in cine field.’
‘I took quality movies as Azhagi, PaLLikkoodam, Solla Marantha Kadhai and Onbathu Roobai Note… Many appreciated. But I was not able to get producers to continue making movies. What more could I do such that it proves useful to society?’
‘Even if one gets producers, he is not able to get actors. I struggle as I do movies. They invest crores of money for movies which are of no use to people. They spend as much as Rs. 6 crore for a song sequence. But the total budget for movie Bharathi is Rs. 1 ½ lakhs. There are hassles when one makes quality movie. I do not know acting. As I did not get any other actor I have starred in the movie.’
‘The story of Ammaavin Kaipesi is such that it pulls audience to the edge of the seat. The songs would not be noisy and would help in movement of the story. Everybody has done well. The background music would give life to the movie. Fans should welcome quality movies’ said Thangar Bachan.
