Tik Tik Tik release postponed to February

Touted to be country's first ever space film Tik Tik Tik which features Jayam Ravi in the lead, was slated for release on 26 January. Directed by Shakti Soundar Rajan, the sci-fi movie has pulled out of Republic Day race now.

It now means only Udhayanidhi Stalin's Nimir, Anushka's Bhaagamathie, Vemal's Mannar Vagaiyara and Deepika Padukone's Padmaavat (Hindi, dubbed in Tamil) in the fray.

Speaking about the movie, Jayam Ravi, says, 'Tik Tik Tik, we all know it is India's first space film. I play an escape artist in the movie. Along with Nivetha Pethuraj, Vincent Asokan, Ramesh Thilak and Arjunan, I would embark on a space mission. I will be in space suit all through. There would be zero gravity. Astronauts tend to float.

We did all that. It was a challenge to do the film. Everything was unique and we had to give our best'.He adds, 'For this film, we cannot use props from other movie sets. We had to create everything. The movie demanded a lot of Computer Graphics. In spite of all difficulties, we managed to complete the shoot in just 52 days. I am eager to watch the movie in screens.'
