TN CM Jayalalithaa to inaugurate Centenary Celebration of Indian cinema

The Centenary Celebration of Indian cinema is to be held between September 21st and September 24th in Chennai.  South Indian film artistes from languages as Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu and Kannada are to participate in the festival.

 
Regarding the development, C Kalyan, head of South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce, spoke to reporters: -


Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa is to inaugurate the Centenary Celebration of Indian Cinema in Nehru Indoor Stadium, Chennai, on September 21st.  Arrangements for dinner on September 23rd have been made.  South Indian stars are to participate in the dinner.


During the first two days, cultural programs by South Indian film artistes are to be held.  For a dinner on 23rd evening, South Indian film artistes are to participate with their family. 


Indian President Pranab Mukherjee is to participate in the grand finale to be held on September 24th. He is to felicitate accomplishers in cine field. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa, Andhra Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy, Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, and Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan are to be present for the grand finale to be held on September 24th. 


South Indian movie shootings would not be held from September 18th to September 24th so as to facilitate participation in events to be held in Nehru Indoor Stadium.
