Tripartite discussion held in Chennai with regard to ‘Vishwaroopam’ issue

Tripartite discussion regarding ‘Vishwaroopam’ issue commenced today.  As Muslim outfits protested against Kamal Haasan’s ‘Vishwaroopam’, Tamil Nadu Government imposed ban upon the movie.  So, Kamal filed a case with High Court.

A single judge lifted ban upon the movie ‘Vishwaroopam’.  But Tamil Nadu went for appeal the same night and got back the ban upon release of ‘Vishwaroopam’.  The hearing into the case is to be held the coming Feb 6th.  Chief Minister Jayalalithaa announced that government would assist in discussion to lift the ban upon movie ‘Vishwaroopam’.  Also, Kamal Haasan said that if Muslim outfits volunteer for discussion, he would remove objectionable scenes in the movie and release it.

Both Kamal’s side and Muslims have welcomed the move.  Following the development, officials have arranged for discussion, and there is tripartite discussion being held in Chennai.  As Kamal is now in Mumbai, Chandra Haasan, Muslim outfits and Home Secretary Rajagopal participated in the discussion.
