Vairamuthu condoles Vaali’s death saying it has left a void in cine field

Lyricist Vairamuthu has released condolence message following lyricist Vaali’s death. Vairamuthu has said that nobody could be as gifted as late Vaali.

Following Vaali’s demise, lyricist Vairamuthu has released a condolence message: -

‘The demise of elderly lyricist Vaali has created a void that cannot be filled.  I have lost a friend who was there at my behest whenever I called him.’

‘No other lyricist had been as gifted as Vaali.  Vaali was the only lyricist in India who had written maximum number of lyrics.  He had written lyrics for movies starring MGR and Sivaji, and had been writing lyrics till date.’

‘Also, Vaali was gifted such that he was on par with Kannadasan, and he had crossed a great distance.  He added strength to music by SM Subbaiah Naidu, and had been writing lyrics for composition by AR Rahman also.’

‘Vaali lyrics contributed to upholding MGR’s image.   Vaali had the intelligence of bringing Dravidian Party’s politics into the lyrics.  He had written lyrics for MGR and for Kalaignar’s son MK Muthu.’

‘He wrote lyrics for both of the sides and impressed them. He did not hide anything and was known for his blatant speech. He lived for Tamil.’

‘During the ripe age, he never lamented health setbacks.  He is no more… The five elements of nature might have divided his body between each other.  But, his Tamil is in unreachable heights.  It would sing in praise of him for long.  I wipe tears welling up in my eyes and convey my condolence.’
