Asked about the movie's title, granson of thespian Sivaji Ganesan, Vikram Prabhu says, 'When the director informed me that the title of the movie is Veera Sivaji, I was perplexed. I felt people would think it would it as historical movie.

Also there was a fear that I should do all justice to my grandad's name. However after discussions, we were convinced that it would be an commercial fare and the title was very apt'.

Heaping laurels on Imman, he says, 'It is our fifth project together. We share a good rapport. He is appreciative of all my good work. And songs have come good really well'.
