After 7 long years of the release of Venkat Prabhu's debut movie as a director, Chennai 28 is now all set to be remade in Kannada. Chennai 28 was released in 2007 and it was produced by SPP Charan. The super hit movie brought in actors like Jai, Mirchi Siva, Premgi, Vijay Vasanth and Vijaya Lakshmi into the film industry. 

This remake film in Kannada is titled as Bangalore - 560023 and it is directed by Pradeep Raj. The film has Karthik Jayram, Dhruv, Rajeev, Chandan, Sanjjanaa and Shivani in the lead. Except for the climax, everything has been shot and plans are to release the movie soon.
