Veteran actor Ka Ka Radhakrishnan no more

Ka Ka Radhakrishnan, who introduced ‘Nadigar Thilagam’ Sivaji Ganesan into Tamil cine field passed away yesterday due to breathing problem.

For the last few months, Ka Ka Radhakrishnan had been suffering from breathing problem.  He was receiving treatment for the complaint.  Last week, he recovered partially and returned home.

But still, the breathing problem recurred yesterday and he passed away at 3.30 pm. 

Radhakrishnan, who is known as Ka Ka Radhakrishnan started doing dramas from age 6.  He was in NS Krishnan’s troop for long.

He debuted through movie ‘Mangaiyarkkarasi’.  There is scene in the movie depicting him catching crows.  From then he was addressed ‘Ka Ka Radhakrishnan’.

Among the movies he did are Sivaji Starrer ‘Manohara’, Kamal Starrer ‘Guna’ and ‘Thevar Magan, ‘Vasool Raja MBBS’, Ajit Starrer ‘Unnai Thedi’, Vijay Starrer ‘Kaadhalukku Mariyaadhai’.

The comedy scenes he did with Vadivelu in ‘Maayi’ were much spoken about.

Radhakrishnan’s native place is Dindigul.  But he grew up in Sangiliyaandapuram, Trichirapalli.  He is survived by his 2 wives.  His first wife is Visalakshi.  His second wife is Saradambal.  He has two sons and one daughter.  Also, he has 16 grandsons and granddaughters.

Ka Ka Radhakrishnan’s body is placed at his residence in T Nagar, Chennai for the public to pay homage.
