Has Vijay put Pagalavan on the backburner?

A few months back Pagalavan a film to be directed by Seeman was hot among Vijay fans. It was touted to be Vijay's next project after he completes the shoot of Shankar's Nanban and also releases Velayudham.

Pagalavan was said to be a film about the making of a revolutionary who changes the face of the society. Early this year there were strong rumours that the actor would jump into politics, and Pagalavan would be his political launch pad.

But once there was a change of government in Tamil Nadu, the rumours of Vijay joining politics faded out. Instead the actor was keener on roping top directors to do films with him. Now it looks like Pagalavan has been put on the backburner.

Vijay changed his strategy and gave the green signal to director AR Murgadoss and Gautham Menon. The Murgadoss project is likely to be funded by Fox Star and may start rolling once he completes Nanban.

Next would be Gautham Menon's  Yohan : Adhyayam Ondru, which would start in the summer of 2012.

So how does Vijay fit in Seeman's  Pagalavan? The producer of the film Kalaipuli S Dhanu says: "As far as I know Vijay will do Pagalavan, Seeman is getting the final script of the film ready. Once Vijay
approves the film will start rolling."
