Vijay requests Chief Minister to intervene in ‘Thalaivaa’ release issues

Actor Vijay has forwarded request to Chief Minister Jayalalithaa to intervene in ‘Thalaivaa’ release issues, and help in releasing the movie in Tamil Nadu.

Movie ‘Thalaivaa’, which was to hit screens the last August 9th, encountered hassles as issues with regard to security for theatres and refusal of tax exemption.  Following the hassles that the movie encountered, arrangements are in progress to release the movie in Tamil Nadu.

In Kerala and Andhra, the movie ‘Thalaivaa’ hit screens on August 9th as expected.  Now, the pirated CDs of the movie are in circulation in Tamil Nadu. This has taken the movie crew by shock.

Vijay’s fans in Salem have nabbed those who circulated pirated VCDs of the movie and have handed them over to the police.  Also, police have initiated action against those who circulated pirated VCDs.  Vijay has thanked the police for the action initiated.

Actor Vijay released a press note on Sunday.

‘As the movie has not hit screens as scheduled in Tamil Nadu, pirated VCDs are rampant.  Those who circulated pirated VCDs in Salem have been nabbed.

‘I request fans to bring to notice circulation of pirated VCDs of the movie.  Also, I request them to notify the police.  Tamil Nadu Chief Minister is acting efficiently with regard to NLC issue and Cauvery issue.’

‘Chief Minister is working hard to make Tamil Nadu a leading state.  I always like the activities by Chief Minister and her approach.  Chief Minister should intervene in ‘Thalaivaa’ release issues, and take up necessary steps for the movie to release in Tamil Nadu.’

‘Till that, I request my beloved fans to wait patiently.’
