Vikram is busy again as he does ‘ThaaNdavam’ with Vijay, Shankar’s ‘I’ and Hindi movie ‘David’. Vikram, who was tired after shooting for ‘ThaaNdavam’ in London, revealed that he does not desire anything other than cinemas.
‘As I debuted, the spring did not welcome me. I have never been in the competition in cinemas. That is because more than a movie turning hit only talent would stand through time. The life I have now is through toiling everyday and struggling with every movie. As I debuted, I was neither in first line or the last line of actors.’
‘I volunteered to stride. But my son would not have difficulty I had. He has full liberty to make his choice. They say that my son Dhruv resembles me. I feel he would turn out a director or actor.’
‘Now the next set of actors as Arya, Jeeva, Simbu, Dhanush and Karthi are bracing up. I like Karthi’s mannerism. His delivery and humour are new. As per me, Karthi is one who would turn up the future mass hero.’
‘All among ‘Deiva ThirumagaL’ crew are in ‘ThaaNdavam’. In place of Amala Paul there is Amy Jackson. The movie turns out stylish. After ‘Anniyan’, I join hands with Shankar in ‘I’. Mostly, there might be change in title. Rahman said that upon hearing the story it looked like an epic.’
‘The movie ‘I’ needs ten times the effort put into ‘Anniyan’. In the Hindi movie ‘David’ I do fisherman’s role. In the movie I am everything other than the hero. One could do as much movies as possible with Maniratnam, Shankar and Bala.’
‘More than television, cinema sets in well for me. That is the reason why I turned down ‘Koteeswaran’. If our movie appears daily in the screen, they would delay watching our face in the small screen. But cinema is one which comes only after a gap of 6 months. My friends also told me that television would not work out. I abide by them’ said Vikram.
