Vishal urges govt to act tough on piracy

Close on the heels of assuming office, Tamil Film Producers Council president Vishal said that if their demands to State and Central governments are not addressed, the Tamil film industry would strike work from 30 May.

Addressing media persons, Vishal, said, 'We have urged Centre and State governments to completely eradicate piracy with the help of cybercrime and Internet Service Providers'. 

We need a permanent solution and if our requests are not met, Tamil Film Producers will go on a strike from 30 May'. 

Vishal said that cases should be filed on sites that promote piracy. He there aren't any strong laws on citizens to stop it. He also wanted government to ban all illegal piracy sites just like they banned adult websites.
