The study was conducted by looking at health data of 1231 men and women,
with an average age of 61.5, who were heart patients that were referred
to vascular prevention clinics at London Health Sciences Centre's
University Hospital. Higher number of egg yolks consumed per week by a person accelerates the
thickening of arteries almost as severely as done by cigarette smoking.

Diabetes medication "Avandia"

The drug giant will plead guilty to promoting two drugs (antidepressants
Paxil and Wellbutrin) for unapproved uses and then failing to report to
the government agency (Food and Drug Administration) for seven years
some safety data. Diabetes medication "Avandia" is one of the three drugs concerned in the fraud case.

A study, posted in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine,
involving 200 smokers found that it was easier for 83% of them to
remember the health warning found on labels if they were accompanied by a
graphic image. There was only a 50% success rate when the package contained a text-only warning.
