Arya escapes, Pooja still trapped

Naan Kadavul the film that is in the can for a highly extended period had commenced its shoot at Kasi and will be ending in Theni soon. Arya who was the hero of the film was spotted with long tresses which could sometimes be the envy of womenfolk has completed his part and was free to shed his flowing mane last week.
He had celebrated his ‘hair sacrifice’ by throwing a big bash to his friends. Now he is free to sign other films and would be starting his next
Shaam dances to the tune of Silambarasan

Anthony- Yaar is an upcoming film being directed by C T Pandu where Shaam and Mallika Kapoor will play the lead roles. Dheena composes music for the film and Silambarasan had recently crooned a number ‘Mallalikottai Kannu’ for this film along with Anooradha Sriram. A huge lavish set has been erected in A V M Studios to can this song sequence when the lead pair had waltzed with much energy and vigor.
Vikram and Shriya ready to go!

The Vikram-Shriya starrer Kanthaswamy is moving at a very fast pace gearing up for a Diwali release. Vikram plays the title role in this film. Kanthaswamy turned out to be one of the most expected films of the year, especially after its unique inaugural function. Having returned from Mexico completing the first leg of shooting the team now returns to that country to complete the rest of the scenes.

Santhosh Subramaniam, remake of the Telugu blockbuster Bommarilu, has turned out to be a smash hit in Tamil too. Reaping success in both the languages, this film is now on its way to Bollywood. Genelia, the lead lady in both the versions has struck a hat trick bagging the role in Hindi too. When Santhosh Subramaniam was showcased to producer Boney Kapoor and Sreedevi, the couple praised it to no end, says sources.

Vivek, known for his comedy tracks that create social awareness among people had his dream come true. The popular comedian, during his recent visit to Delhi, met the former president of India, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalaam. During the meeting, the ex-president commended him for doing a wonderful job – making people laugh. Dr. Kalaam also presented Vivek an autographed book authored by him – You Are Born To Blossom.
Dasavatharam taken to court!

The controversy surrounding the release of the much-anticipated film Dasavatharam turned ugly with a Hindu organization filing a petition at the court. According to the complainant, the film consists of scenes that depict the conflict between the Saivites and Vaishnavites.It is also alleged that Dasavatharam contains scenes that disregard the Hindu religion. Furthermore, there are scenes that show the idols of Gods and Goddesses being thrown.
Vijay’s plans for Singam

Vijay’s next project after Kuruvi is Singam, which will be directed by Prabhu Deva. Nayanthara, the leading lady of Kollywood, plays Vijay’s heroine in this film. Though there were widespread reports that Singam would commence on the day of Kuruvi’s release there were no such signs. Will Ajith do Billa - 2 ?

Billa directed by Vishnuvardhan with Ultimate Star Ajith recorded a thumping victory at the box office. The film was talked about for the manner in which it was stylishly and suavely shot. Costumes of the lead cast were the talk of the town especially that of Nayanthara’s.
Following this victory, it has been reported in the industry that Billa – Part 2 is likely to be made which will be produced by Saundarya Rajinikanth on behalf of her Ochre studios in association with Warner Brothers.

Chakravarthy shot to limelight with Ram Gopal Varma’s Sathya. The actor also has several Telugu movies to his credit, which had the cash registers ticking. This tall-bewhiskered actor has now been roped in to play the villain role in Sarvam, which has Arya in the lead character. And it looks like the villain spree would continue for quite some time, as director Shankar has approached him offering the role in Rajini-starrer Robot.

Dasavatharam, Kamal’s magnum opus is ready for release and the hardcore workaholic that he is, he is already into his next project tentatively tiled Marma Yogi. This film will be co-produced by Bharath Bala in association with Walt Disney pictures. There are already many speculations about the story line and the cast of the film.
