Steve Jobs, the mastermind behind Apple's iPhone, iPad, iPod, iMac and iTunes, has died, Apple said. Jobs was 56. Apple did not reveal where Jobs died or from what cause. "We are deeply saddened to announce that Steve Jobs passed away today," read a statement by Apple's board of directors. "Steve's brilliance, passion and energy were the source of countless innovations that enrich and improve all of our lives. The world is immeasurably better because of Steve. His greatest love was for his wife, Laurene, and his family. Our hearts go out to them and to all who were touched by his extraordinary gifts."
It seems the ‘Ghajini’ star Asin Thottumkal is in much demand these days, and is all set to join the SRK camp soon. Reportedly, the actress, who has already worked with two Khans of the
industry, will be seen playing the leading lady opposite Shahrukh Khan
in a movie based on Chetan Bhagat’s ‘2 States’. Buzz is that Asin, who has already teamed up with Aamir Khan in
‘Ghajini’ and Salman Khan in ‘London Dreams’ and ‘Ready’, was the first
choice of producer Sajid Nadiadwala and director Vishal Bhardwaj for the
SRK-starrer forthcoming movie.
The Superstar may be taking rest in hospital. But there is
no stopping for K S Ravikumar, the director of ‘Rana’, for the filmmaker is busy
zeroing in on locations and finalising the remaining members of the cast and
crew. “The project is very much on track. Our plan is to start the
regular shooting only in July. So Rajini’s hospitalisation has not stopped the
shaping up of Rana in any way,” Ravikumar says.
Sarathkumar in Achante Aanmakkal Popular Tamil actor Sarathkumar has
signed his fifth Malayalam film after the success of Pazhassi Raja,
Oridathoru Postman, The Metro and Christian Brothers! This time, he teams up with director Chandrashekharan in his new
Malayalam film Achante Aanmakkal, which has veteran Jagadeesh in the
lead role alongside Sarathkumar.
Actress Sneha, who is known for philanthropic works, has gone one step further by donating her eyes for Rotary Rajan Eye Bank (RREB). Gautham Menon, who is going all out for Nadunisi Naaygal promotions, has
revealed his desire of directing superstars Rajinikanth and Kamal
Hassan. He has said that he wants them to act together in his film. The director, who is completing his 10th year in the film
industry, also added that he is not sure whether his dream will come
true or not. He has already directed Kamal Hassan in Vettaiyaadu
Vilaiyaadu in 2006 but he is yet work with Rajinikanth.
Prakash Raj is on cloud nine after getting massive response from both
Telugu and Tamil audiences for his film Payanam (Gaganam is Telugu). The
actor has thanked his ex wife Lalitha Kumari, who stood behind him
during the release of the film. The actor has said that the financier, who created a fuss during the release, tried to create a fake documents.

would try something different from his next movie. The director, who is
currently busy making ‘Thiruthani’, also says he learnt lessons from his
past.

‘Nadunisi Naaygal’ has been cleared by the censors
without any visual cuts. But the film has been given ‘A’ certificate for
chilling narration.
