Full Biography of Actress Dhanya Balakrishna
Dhanya Balakrishna is an Indian film actress who has appeared in Telugu and Tamil films. After making her debut in A. R. Murugadoss's 7aum Arivu (2011), she appeared in ventures including Gautham Menon's Neethaane En Ponvasantham. Dhanya Balakrishna began her acting career with performances in theatre, before being signed up to play a supporting role in A. R. Murugadoss's 7aum Arivu, where she played a scientist alongside Suriya and Shruti Haasan. She was next seen in two bilingual projects, portraying supporting roles - Balaji Mohan's Kadhalil Sodhappuvadhu Yeppadi and Neethaane En Ponvasantham.
After Chennai Super Kings entered the play-offs of the 2012 Indian Premier League, Dhanya took to Twitter to vent her frustration at the elimination of the team she had supported, Royal Challengers Bangalore. Referring to the long-standing Kaveri River water dispute, she tweeted an insult directed at Chennai and subsequently faced backlash on social media for her comments. Dhanya consequently said that she had quit the Tamil film industry and would return the advance of a film she had signed fearing tension, but made a comeback in Tamil with Raja Rani.
She played a cameo in the 2013 Telugu film Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu. Her first venture in a leading role, the Telugu film Chinni Chinni Aasa (2013), was released in November 2013, followed by Gangaraju Gunnam's Chandamama Lo Amrutham.
