Film: Nageshwari

Film: Nageshwari
Director: Ramanarayanan
Cast: Ramya Krishnan, Karan, Prithviraj, Ramesh Khanna, Riyaz Khan, Vivek, Vadivelu

Though it is yet another film on the Goddess-protecting-her-devotees kind, it is more of a computer graphics-versus-a coherent story line here. The graphics are thrown in indiscriminately, without proper placement. No serious thought seems to have gone into how, and where it should be placed. So we have graphics - that too of the mediocre variety - intruding almost throughout the narration.

The artistes go through their roles mechanically. Karan has played the wicked husband earlier in a similar film and Ramya that of the Goddess-possessed woman. Here she plays a woman killed by her 'future' husband and his three cronies, who don't seem to have a single redeeming quality in them. She comes alive possessed by the spirit of the snake Goddess and marries the same man. Throwing scornful blazing looks at her tormentors she takes her revenge after what seems like eternity! As Vadivelu tries to do a Nagesh, the less said about Vivek's antics, the better.
