Cast:Ramki, Meena, Divya Unni, Vivek, Charanraj, Senthil, Baby Akshaya

Palayathamman Socio-religious films have their own takers, whatever be their cinematic value. Like `Godmen' who manage to gather devotees whatever their credentials! As the title suggests it is once again a good-versus-evil and a Goddess-testing-devotee kind of a film. There is nothing new by way of subject or treatment.

A baby girl is born to Ramki and Divya. As they go to pray at the temple, the baby accidentally falls into the `temple hundi'. The priests and all those present demand that the couple give away the baby to the temple. For, "whatever falls in the `hundi' is the property of the Goddess," they claim. The couple refuses and the Goddess keeps chasing them for the rest of the film to get what is rightfully hers. Of course, everything is explained in the end.

Divya Unni seems confused, not her fault entirely. At times she agrees with the Goddess, at times she takes help from the Prince, Satan's man on earth. Charanraj, as the evil prince, cuts a ridiculous figure. Clad in flowing silk orange garb, a bold huge triple six (Omen style) written on top of his head, there is no subtlety here. Meena tries her best to play the Goddess with her meaningful smile, but what she manages to convey is playfulness and a childlike innocence rather than the dignity and power of a Goddess. Ramki in a comeback role ambles along. A couple of computer graphics towards the end of the film is worth watching!
