Movie: Super Kudumbam
Director: R.K.Kalaimani
Cast: Prabhu, Roja, Pratyusha, Vivek, Parimala, Alex, Pandu.
Hari is in love with Sowmya (Vivek - Parimala). Soumya's father an army man and a firm believer in inter-caste marriages insists that his future son-in-law should belong to a family of like-minded people. Hari persuades his friend Arun to play husband to foul-mouthed slum-girl Raakki, who is hired to play Gayatri, Arun's Brahmin wife. Hari's problem is solved, but this creates havoc in the love life of Arun and girl friend Abhirami (Pratyusha) who, seeing Arun in some seemingly compromising situations, refuses to believe he is innocent. When Raakki is discovered pregnant, and Arun found to be the culprit, Abhirami stages one more of her walkouts refusing to believe that Arun had seduced Raakki under the influence of alcohol and had forgotten all about it, the next morning. Raakki who had fallen for Arun, gives up her uncouth way, polishes up her act, and also decides to play martyr. With the two women in his life doing the dumping act, Arun is persuaded to go back to
Raakki, who by then had made a failed attempt to immolate herself.
It saddens one to see Prabhu get stuck into the groove of insignificant films and stereotyped roles. With a bad script, there is nothing much the two heroines can do to lift it up. Vivek's comedy doesn't help either. Vinu Chakravarthy gets to play yet another role where he is the sucker taken for a ride by those around him
