Sports-based films are a rarity in Tamil cinema. Mithun Manickam has managed to come up with one that speaks about the shorter version of football that is popular in rural Tamilnadu.

The shrewd filmmaker has managed to speak against a social evil in this film. In a nutshell, it is the story of underdogs emerging winners as one would see in any sport-based film.

Their travails to glory make up the film.Noted producer and actor Jayaprakash's sons Niranjan and Dushyanth play lead roles. Newbie Amruth as coach is a revelation.

The cast also includes Jayaprakash and Nithya Shetty.Set in Sivaganga, the movie is about family feud and spells about the evils of casteism that still prevails in remote parts of Tamilnadu.

Niranjan and Dushyan are brothers but always at loggerheads. They fight it out in football field. A big football tournament happens in their village. Enters Amruth, who decides to coach Dushyanth's team.

Meanwhile, the village head Jayaprakash, brother of Amruth has reasons to stay away from his brother. One football tournament changes the fortune of all.

The movie is crisp and entertaining. Produced by Vibrant Movies, the film has all engaging elements for a commercial film and manages to keep audience glued to their seats.

The game begins
