S S Rajamouli is known for his story-telling. He can even make a movie with housefly. Give him royal story, he will come out with Baahubali. A visual fantasy, the movie is grand, rich and glossy.

After Naan EE, Baahubali is one more feather in his cap. Rajamouli should be lauded for thinking huge and executing it on such a mammoth scale. The first part of Baahubali is about young Prabhas. With Rana Dagubatti, Nasser, Sathyaraj, Ramya Krishnan and Tamannah in the cast, the movie is awesome and amazing.

VFX Suprevision by V Srinivas Mohan, splendid background score by Maragathamani and dialogues by Madhan Karky is a period film set around ancient empire. Stunts by Peter Hein is the backbone.

Shiva (Prabhas) is brought up by some native villagers. He grows up with special skills which turn out to be a mystery for everyone. One fine day, he spots Avantika (Tamanna) and falls in love with her. As time passes by, he comes to know that she and her group are trying hard to rescue the royal princes Devasena (Anushka) from the evil clutches of Bhalaladeva(Rana).

Shivudu decides to help Avanitka and enters the Mahishmati Kingdom. As soon as he lands there, he comes to know about his pat. He needs to encounter Bhalaladeva (Rana). What is that past? Why an enmity with Bhalladeva? Prabhas is the high point of the film.

As a lover boy and a valorous princess, he has done a wonderful job. Rana is equally good.As Bhalladeva he strikes it rich. Tamannah as bravado Avantika is splendid.  Sathyaraj plays a big role.

But on the flip side, a profitable storyline with a couple of songs in the form of speed-breakers could have been avoided.

All said, Baahubali is a movie to reckon with.
