Red Giant Movies

Jiiva, Santhanam and Vinay are close buddies since childhood. Nasser plays Jiiva’s father and due to some misunderstanding they are not in talking terms. His mother elopes with another man and this leaves him with a bad opinion about women. Jiiva and his friends run an advertising agency and once take a vow not to marry.

Trisha makes an entry into Jiiva’s life as she joins his agency and slowly wins his heart. Andrea is a model and fits the role to the tee. All of a sudden Santhanam and Vinay abscond only to return to inform Jeeva that have decided to break their vow. An angry Jiiva puts and end to their friendship. At this point Trisha is a big support to Jiiva and he slowly falls in love only to break up due to ego issues.

Friendship, love, ego are the basic ingredients of the movie similar to what we experience in real life and maybe that is why audience are able to relate to the movie.

First half moves swiftly with comedy ruling the roost. In the second half comedy takes a back seat as its need is not felt. Jiiva is setting higher standards by the day with his refined acting and so are Trisha and Andrea. Santhanam and Vinay are disappointing,

Harris Jayaraj scores the music for the film and two songs have gelled well with the movie, while the other songs are totally uncalled for. Cinematography is the strength of the film.

It’s been a long time since we enjoyed a typical romantic subject similar to this.
