Revenge drama. Action aplenty. Gun battle and fisticuffs. Add to it some emotional drama. The end product in the form of Gethu is truly engaging and interesting.

Three cheers to Udhayanidhi who for his action avatar for the first time has chosen the right script.Directed by Maan Karate fame Thirukumaran, Gethu is Udhay's special.

He lives the role and amazingly brings out perfection as Sethu. Add to it Sathyaraj's solid performance, Gethu is here to stay.A movie that unfolds in a hill station dwells on the happenings in the life of a physical education teacher (Sathyaraj). His son steps in for his rescue and revenge.

There begins the engaging drama.Udhayanidhi is at his best. He is cool and does executes his emotional act well. Amy Jackson as adorable Iyengar girl in love with Udhay is passable.

Karunakaran steps into Santhanam's shoes. Perhaps for the first time, he takes up the role what santhanam generally does.Vikranth playing a baddie is a surprise and Sathyaraj in emotional character is praiseworthy.

Sathyaraj, who plays a physical education teacher. His life goes smooth. His son Sethu (Udhay) works as a librarian and assists father. But enters Bull (Vikranth). Now begins all trouble.

Sethu and Bull lock horns.Mime Gopi and Vikranth add strength. They have breezed past their roles with consummate ease.Action sequences deserves mention. And Harris Jeyaraj's song coupled with Sukumar's camera does speak a lot.

Three cheers to Thirukumaran for a gripping entertainer and all cheers to the super show loaded with action.

Gethu - Udhay rocks
