Kaaka Muttai is the story of two boys growing up in a city slum dream of tasting their first slice of pizza. 

The effects of globalization on the slum children, dress code, and politics play a spoilsport in the lives of that Below Poverty are explained in detail but in a lighter vein.

Produced jointly by national award-winner Dhanush and Vetri Maran and presented by Fox Star, Kaaka Muttai is the maiden directorial venture of photographer-turned-filmmaker Manikandan.

 The story is set around is about two slum boys Chinna Kaaka Muttai (Ramesh) and Periya Kaaka Muttai (Vignesh). They are brothers. They live in poverty with their mother (Ishwarya Rajesh) and grandmother. Their father is lodged in jail for a crime.

They work to make ends meet in house. One day they see a pizza shop being inaugurated by actor STR and him eating pizza.Now the boys want to eat the same.

How they manage to collect money and the incidents leading to it form the rest.The two young boys have done a fantastic job. Ishwarya Rajesh plays mother's role to perfection.

Manikandan wields the megaphone and also cranks the camera. G V Prakash's background is good. All said, the movie is s super show sure to delight masses.
