Eerie thrillers always entertain Tamil audience. They are proven winners at the box office. Here comes Mohini and its Trisha's turn to play part of a ghost movie. Director Madesh, a former associate of filmmaker Shankar, has joined hands with Trisha to recreate the magic on screen. An actress with amazing acting skills, Trisha shoulders the responsibility in her shoulders to excel in dual roles.
A movie that has enough to engage and entertain, Mohini is a commercial cocktail. It has enough spooky moments and also light-hearted sequences that add value to it.
Mohini is predominantly about Trisha(s). Vaishnavi (Trisha) is a chef who sets off to London. She along with her assistants Swaminathan and Yogi Babu live a happy life. Meanwhile, there is Sandeep (Jackky Bhagnani) and they fall in love. All things goes well when a spirit of Mohini (Trisha). She had an unnatural death.
It is revealed that Sandeepand his friend (Mukesh Tiwari) are reasons for Mohini's death. Cut to present, through Vaishnavi, Mohini tries to take revenge on both. How it happens forms the rest.
It is Trisha show all the way, She is right there delivering a wonderful show and everything is set around her. She excels in every frame. The highlight of the movie is daredevilstunt sequence. Trisha has performed a few without body double. Yogi Babu as usual does a wonderful act. His one-liners are the hallmark of the movie.
Poornima Bhagyaraj delivers a decent show.  Swaminathan's comedy adds entertainment value to it. Jackky Bhagnani is right there delivering a decent show.
The movie and its spooky elements manage to strike a chord with masses. The production value is rich. All said, Mohini is a good show to please your fear factor.
