Mani Ratnam is back. The king of romance is at his best. After a series of debacles, Mani Ratnam's O Kadhal Kanmani comes at the right moment to prove his mastery over the medium.

It is a story that speaks about romance ion two generations. Aadhi and Tara (Dulquer and Nithya Menon) and Prakashraj and Leela Samson. In a sense the movie is a prequel to Alaipayuthey.

Whatmore you have AR Rahman giving his musical best with P C  Sreeram capturing colorful and young visuals, O Kadhal Kanmani is here to stay.

The story revolves around Adhi and Tara. They accidentally meet, know each other and then fall for love. They live together and what happens in their career after that makes up OK Kanmani.

Their life is compared with that of the oldies Prakashraj and Leela Samson's. Interestingly Dulquer steals the show as dashing Aadhi. He is vibrant, young, cool and bubbly. At places he reminds one of a role did by Karthik in Mouna Ragam. His choice of costumes and his body language are sure to win him laurels. Splendid is the word from him.

Nithya Menon is sweet and cute. She is a mix of Revathy and Amala's that would see in Mani Ratnam's movies. The on-screen chemistry between Dulquer and Nithya is hot and perfect. Prakashraj proves yet again why is a master when it comes to doing such roles.Leela Samson is a surprise element. She does her best and everything falls in place.

Rahman and P C Sreeram combo, Vairamuthu's lyrics elevates the movie to a different level. The best is Parandhu Sellava song which is colorful and alluring.

Mani Ratnam's swift screenplay and the splendid show by the artistes backed by a technically-brilliant film makes OK Kanmani a film to cherish.
