Can a movie be made without crass comedy. Punch line or hero heroine running around trees romancing? Vijay Sethupathi's maiden production venture Orange Mittai, directed by Biju Viswanath, stars Vijay Sethupathi, Ramesh Thilak, Arumugam Bala, Aashritha, Karunakaran among others in the cast. Justin Prabhakaran has scored the music.

What begins on an emotional note goes on to gather momentum and ends up a sweet story.  Vijay Sethupathi, a 50-year-old man dials an ambulance. Ramesh, who attends the ambulance driver, responds to the call. Vijay Sethupathi enters the ambulance complaining that he has an heart attack.

What happens between them and how they see the world and things happening around them and the emotional bondage and life make up the movie. There are enough characters in the movie to sustain interest. Though few they have a say in the film.

Vijay sethupathi is the wheel and axle of the movie. He does a stellar show and manages to sustain greater interest. His body language, make up and dialogue delivery are the hall mark. Ramesh Thilak is splendid.

The two sets the screen on fire, literally. What is pathbreaking is the  way the script and the story has been done and narrated in a linear way. Biju Viswnath excels as director, cinematographer and  editor.

A well-crafted film with feel good elements make up the movie.Orange Mittai is a sweet candy.
